Books I Read in 2022
I entered 2022 with a newborn and a new business, so it makes sense that I didn’t post a single time this year… But there was no way I could miss my annual book wrap-up! After all, this is the fifth consecutive year I’ve shared my reading wrap-up, and it’s been my biggest year yet!
At the start of the year, I set a goal to read 50 books, which I accomplished by reading 54 books! One of the reasons I was able to hit this goal is that I have a 45-minute commute to work, which I spend either listening to my Paul Noble Spanish or French lessons (highly recommend!), or listening to an audiobook. I’m the type of person that believes every single minute of my day needs to be productive (I’m working on incorporating more self-care and relaxation…), so it’s hard for me to justify spending my commute listening to music when I could be learning a language or finishing a book.
I’ll organize the books I read by star ratings, starting with my five-star reads and ending with my two-star reads (no one-star reads this year, thankfully). Here we go!

It was a year filled with incredible books (hence all the four- and five-star ratings), but which was the best? Which book towered above the rest, easily sliding into that coveted #1 position? Which one made me cry tears of joy and tears of grief? Which one do I still think about months later, and even ordered a special edition of, even though I already own it?
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This book was absolutely incredible! And hats off to Taylor Jenkins Reid because Daisy Jones & The Six was my #2 book for the year. In 2023, I definitely plan on picking up more books by her!
